Lisa A. Poncia is a Marin County entrepreneur, wife, mother, and partner in the law firm of Epstein Holtzapple Christo LLP (EHC Law).
Lisa is a former estate planning attorney with a background in litigation. Her depth of knowledge in matters arising under the Probate Code adds significant value to EHC’s clients who are embroiled in trust and estate disputes or are trying to avoid them.
Lisa is a born strategist with a keen ability to connect with clients as she helps them navigate the complex and often emotional legal matters arising out of trusts, estates, conservatorships, powers of attorney, advance healthcare directives, and the like. She values integrity, authenticity, and professionalism.
Prior to joining EHC Law, Lisa owned and operated a successful solo practice specializing in estate planning and administration for individuals and families, including those with special needs. Lisa closed her practice in 2022 to dedicate herself full-time to Stemple Creek Ranch, one of the many entrepreneurial endeavors she and her husband, Loren Poncia, own and operate together. You can visit the ranch in Tomales in West Marin and find their regeneratively raised, grass-fed beef and lamb, and pastured pork at local grocery stores and restaurants.
When Lisa joined EHC in 2024 as the firm’s Operations Manager, she began to miss her law practice. When Robyn Christo, one of Lisa’s dearest friends, suggested she join the firm as a partner, Lisa jumped at the chance to use her business acumen and experience as a lawyer to help Robyn continue to grow the established firm.
As a passionate educator, Lisa has shared her legal expertise at UC Law San Francisco (her alma mater, which was formerly known as Hastings) and UC Davis College of Law, teaching Legal Writing and Research at both. Lisa is also committed to community service. She is served as a member of the board of directors of Marin Agricultural Land Trust (MALT) since 2017 and formerly held board positions with the Loma Verde Foundation, the parent-teacher association at Loma Verde Elementary School, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Sacramento.
